Value Others - The Key to a High-Performance Workforce

I deliver a variety of messages, but none as important as this one.

You see, we're not getting along. The pace of business is so fast that we sometimes mistreat employees or colleagues in order to get results. Have a conversation with someone who holds a different political, religious, or cultural view? Almost impossible. And technology allows people to make hurtful or outlandish comments about others that would never be said face-to-face. Add it all up and employees are experiencing incivility at work more than even before. In fact, research shows the majority of employees encountering rude, ugly, even bullying behavior on a monthly basis.

Organizations are at risk of having today's incivility bleed into operational performance and contribute to already-low employee engagement scores. So what's the answer? I believe it's an obsessive, relentless pursuit of a "Value Others" culture. Focusing on employees as unique individuals who have needs, career aspirations, and lives outside of work not only increases organizational performance but also promotes employee loyalty.

Building a Value Others Culture

During this keynote presentation, we'll explore a culture where employees feel valued. A culture that has employees looking out for each other rather than having a selfish, "it's all about me" mentality. Attendees will review four strategies that will help build that Value Others outlook and culture. We'll even practice valuing others, both inside and outside of work.

D&I Leads to Business Success

Research shows that diverse teams are smarter and outperform other teams. And while we often think of D&I in terms of outward appearance, diversity is also reflected in how we communicate, make decisions, and when we work. Attendees will confront these differences and explore strategies that turn these differences into strengths, ultimately producing a high-performance team!

ADDITIONAL  SERVICES

Town Hall Facilitation:  According to author Brené Brown, organizations must begin facilitating these challenging conversations if they want to attract and keep great employees. Darren can expertly and delicately facilitate these sessions with your people. And it's not an end point -- it's just the beginning! But after a Town Hall session, the tone and process will be set for a constructive dialogue with and among your employees.

Training:  Using different formats such as a 60-minute presentation, half-day or full-day session, or a series of monthly workshops, Darren will bring his strong training background to bear on your business "pain."  Starting with strong content that  he  has developed throughout his career, Darren will work with you to customize the content to your audience.  Training topics include Inspirational Leadership, 'One Voice"  Customer Service, and Effective Communication.

Success for Interns and High Potentials:   Based on Darren's book   3 + 4 Equals Success, Darren can kick off or celebrate  your Intern or High Potential program with a challenge for participants to find success and be their best through using  three critical skills and four supercharging mindsets.
